पद्मिनी एकादशी पर इन पेड़ों की पूजा है खास (Padmini Ekadashi Upay)

2. एकादशी व्रत का फल तभी मिलता है जब व्रती मन और तन दोनों की शुद्धता बनाए रखे, इसलिए इस दिन क्रोध, लालच, अहंकार का त्याग करें.
3. ब्रह्मचर्य का पालन करें. नाखून-बाल न काटें.

पंचांग के अनुसार अधिक मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की पद्मिनी एकादशी तिथि 28 जुलाई 2023 को दोपहर 02.51 मिनट पर शुरू होगी और अगले दिन 29 जुलाई 2023 को दोपहर 01.05 मिनट पर खत्म होगी.

पद्मिनी एकादशी व्रत कथा

पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार, त्रेता युग में एक पराक्रमी राजा कृतवीर्य था. इस राजा की कई रानियां थी लेकिन किसी भी रानी से राजा को पुत्र की प्राप्ति नहीं हुई. ऐसे में संतानहीन होने के कारण राजा और उनकी रानियां तमाम सुख सुविधाएं होने के बावजूद दुखी रहते थे. एक बार संतान प्राप्ति के लिए तपस्या का विचार किया और फिर अपनी सभी रानियों के साथ तपस्या के लिए चल पड़े. हजारों वर्ष तक तपस्या करते रहने के बाद राजा के शरीर में सिर्फ हड्डियां ही शेष रह गयी थी लेकिन उनकी तपस्या सफल न हो सकी. तब उनकी एक रानी ने देवी अनुसूया से उपाय पूछा. देवी ने उन्हें मल मास में शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी का व्रत करने के लिए कहा.

अनुसूया ने रानी को पद्मिनी व्रत का पूरा विधि-विधान भी बताया. रानी ने तब देवी अनुसूया के द्वारा बताए गए विधान के अनुसार पद्मिनी एकादशी का व्रत रखा. व्रत की समाप्ति पर भगवान प्रकट हुए और वरदान मांगने के लिए कहा. रानी ने भगवान से कहा है प्रभु, आप मुझ पर प्रसन्न हैं तो मेरे बदले मेरे पति को वरदान दीजिए. भगवान ने तब राजा से वरदान मांगने के लिए कहा. राजा ने भगवान से प्रार्थना की कि आप मुझे ऐसा पुत्र प्रदान करें जो सर्वगुण सम्पन्न हो और तीनों लोकों में आदरणीय हो और आपके अतिरिक्त कोई अन्य उसे पराजित न कर सके. इसके बाद भगवान ने तथास्तु कहा और चले गए. कुछ समय पश्चात रानी ने एक पुत्र को जन्म दिया जो कार्तवीर्य अर्जुन के नाम से जाना गया. कालान्तर में यह बालक अत्यंत पराक्रमी राजा हुआ जिसने रावण को भी बंदी बना लिया था. कहते हैं कि यह कथा सबसे पहले भगवान कृष्ण ने अर्जुन को सुनाकर इसके माहात्म्य से अवगत करवाया था.
